Ghanaian film maker, Shirley Frimpong-Manso held Accra in check yet again with the premiere of her latest movie, ‘Checkmate,’ at the National Theater yesterday, April 1. Although ‘Checkmate’ has suffered some criticisms in the media, the response from the audience at the premiere seemed to suggest that the viewers enjoyed what they saw. The cast, comprising Nadia Buari, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku, Ekow Blankson, KSM, Senanu Gbedawo, Khareema Aguiar and Kwaku Boateng were also at the premiere for interviews, photographs and interactions with fans.
