Leader of celebrated Hip-life/Afro Pop music group Praye; Choirmaster has taken a tumultuous swipe at Graphic Showbiz for publishing false reports about the‘Praye’ group.
Praye, made up of,'Eugene Baah (Choir Masta/ Praye Ho Ne Ho), Steven Fiawoo(Cartel Big J/ Praye Tiatia), and Nana Kwame (Kente/ Praye Tenten) noted with the hit song ‘Angelina’, first broke up after kicking out Choirmaster in 2013 to become a duo.
Choirmaster, who had blamed Praye Tintin for their break up explained that the latter got a contract while they were together and started to record as a solo artiste.
The Hiplife trio Praye, reunited for the first time since their split on the stage, when they surprised patrons with one of the most magnificent live band performances at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Just as their fans are extremely enthused about their comeback,.Graphic Showbiz on their Monday edition, published that Choirmaster had revealed to them that the ‘Praye’ group has not reunited yet.
But speaking in an exclusive interview with Razzonline.com's Grace Afumwaa,Choirmaster who was responding to Graphic Showbiz reportage, angrily debunked the publication by indicating candidly that:
“I am very disappointed in Graphic Showbiz for such a false news. I don’t know when I granted interview with them and said ‘Praye’ is not back yet. Such acts from the media can cause confusion and misunderstanding in the industry”.
Choirmaster, extensively delineated that,"Graphic Showbiz is a very big newspaper in Ghana and I expect them to know better , not that false story...If they want to sell out their news, they should, but not this way...everybody is happy about our come back as a music group so I don’t see why Showbiz should published such a story at this point where Ghanaians are happy about it.
The leader of the multiple award-winning group advised the media to be circumspect in their reportage.
Praye shot to fame after winning the maiden edition of the Nescafe African Revelation contest in Ghana,as well as the West African grand finale.
