Award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Christiana Love, has explained circumstances that led to the breakdown of her nine-year marriage to Pastor Love Kweku Hammond, General Overseer of the Life Power Miracle Church.
Though Pastor Love is hopping from one radio station to another yelling that Christiana was pregnant for another man, that allegation has turned out to be an ordinary hearsay with no evidence whatsoever. Christiana has challenged Pastor Love to prove his allegation and his response has been that it was a certain pastor friend in Europe who told him of the supposed relationship between the gospel singer and a certain Nana Yaw.
Christiana has categorically denied ever dating another man, let alone becoming pregnant for someone else. According to Christiana, Nana Yaw was a philanthropist who supported her charity project and that the man was a happily married man.http://www.ameyawdebrah.com/
Explaining what led to the breakdown of her marriage to Pastor Love, Christiana revealed she had been enslaved and tormented by her husband for the past nine years and that she could not bear it any longer. “Pastor Love raped my younger sister who was staying with us. He threatened to kill the girl if she speaks the truth but she told my elder brother, Kwame, and he came for her and sent her to our hometown. “Pastor Love later asked the girl not to speak the truth but she says she only kept quiet to save my marriage and my music career…My husband even started chasing our housemaid and even slept with her while we were still married.
There was also a lady who came to him for consultation and he told the lady that he would have sex with her because her husband would not marry her again…There has been several times he would pick the phone and propose to the ladies right in my presence and he would tell them that if he had seen them early, he would not have wasted his time to marry me,” Christiana Love told Adom FM on Thursday in the Twi dialect.
The gospel musician, speaking amidst tears, said Pastor Love had turned her into a punching bag and that he beat her up and tore her clothes at the least opportunity.
“He would look me in the face and call me the child of a prostitute, the child of a witch and tell me that he would destroy me until I do not even have money that can buy a sachet of water to drink,” Christiana added.
Pastor Love, in response, said just two years after he married Christian Love, he decided to break up with her and marry another woman.
He said even before breaking up with Christiana Love, he introduced his new found love to his parents and was about to make her his wife but Lady Bishop Christiana Doe Tetteh of the Solid Rock Chapel begged him to rescind his decision.
