City People Magazine is a success story in Ghana - Ambassador Onafowokan

City people Media Group, the publisher of City People magazine, yesterday celebrated the 5th year anniversary of the award winning magazine amidst glitz and glamour at Coconut Grove Regency Hotel, Accra.
The event which was slated for 5:00pm did not commence until around 7:30pm, when MCee Omini, a Nigerian based comedian open the mic to crack the ribs of special guests seated in the classy and well decorated hall.
Among the dignitaries who graced the events are: Nigeria High Commission to Ghana, Ambassador Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan, Otunba Mike Ajayi, DG, Ghana-Nigeria Chambers of Commerce & Industry, President of All Nigeria Community, Moses Owaharo, and former BOT chairman, Chief Emmanuel Okeson, members of staff, Nigerian High Commission.
Ghallywood celebrities that attended include: Jackie Appiah, Juliet Ibrahim, Prince David Osei, Vivien Achor, Selly of BBA The Chase and her lover, Praye Tietia, among others.
Nigeria High Commission to Ghana, Ambassador Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan in his opening remark express his love for the City People magazine and the publisher, who he described as a success. “I am a member of City People fan. I read City People magazine regularly and I want to tell you that their five years in Ghana is a success story. And I want to encourage Ghanaians to keep patronizing City People” he said.
The ever gentle and humble looking publisher of City People magazine, Seye Kehinde, in his speech appreciate their fans, patronizes the magazine and those who gives word of encouragement that made City People a success in Ghana. His words, “we appreciate Nigeria High Commissioner to Ghana: Ambassador Ademola Oluseyi Onafowokan for his encouraging words of advice.”
Giving brief history about the starting days of City People, he said “though City People will be 17years next month but we are celebrating 5years of the official commencement of City People in Ghana. Even though some tried to dissuade us from extending to Ghana, but with constant help of well wishers in Ghana, we are able to stand and stand tall till date” he submitted.
Performers for the night were: TDK who are currently one of the hottest Afro Pop duo from Ghana and World Be, a Nigerian based Ghanaian Afro Pop artiste.
