Cojo Rae reveals why he doesn’t want to be in a relationship

Ghanaian musician, Cojo Rae, has opened up about his love life, revealing why he is currently staying away from relationships and has no immediate plans of dating.

Speaking in an interview with GhanaWeb’s Patience Adu, the “Aketesia” hitmaker disclosed that past heartbreaks and emotional disappointments have made him hesitant to commit to another romantic relationship.

According to the singer, his feelings have been bruised several times in the past, leaving him emotionally unprepared to fully invest in love again.

“I’ve been hurt in the past. I’ve not been lucky in relationships; the girls have dealt with me since completing SHS and through my music journey, but now I'm ok," he said.

He explained that entering into a relationship in his current state would only end up hurting the other person, not because he intends to, but simply because he is not mentally and emotionally ready for that kind of commitment.

“I might hurt you in a way that is not deliberate, because for now I’m not willing to be in a relationship," he insisted.

The musician further noted that his main priority at the moment is his music career, stressing that he wants to dedicate his full attention to building himself professionally before considering romance again.
