The coronavirus pandemic which has brought the world to its knees has changed the way of life of Ghanaians after the president placed a ban on all social gatherings for the past two months.

This ban has seen to the closure of all schools; private or public, churches, festivals, funerals, weddings, sporting events.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo extended the ban till the end of May in his recent address to the nation on May 10, 2020.

Despite this ban, persons who still want to go ahead and tie the knot with their partners can do so but with not more than 25 people as guests and also enforce the necessary social distancing rules.

While some couples have gone ahead to organize their weddings with the required number of attendees or less because they cannot afford to postpone their ceremonies, others have opted to postpone their union till the Coronavirus pandemic is over.

Some people who spoke to GhanaWeb on Trending GH explained the reason they will either wait or go ahead with the limited number of people at their weddings.

"For me, I will go ahead with the directive and plan my wedding with only 25 people because of the situation we all find ourselves in and I cannot afford to postpone it because men can change their minds on any day."

"I will wait and organize my wedding after the coronavirus pandemic because life is important than anything else. Even if I decide to go ahead and plan with just 25 people, I won't be able to tell if any of my guests have tested positive for the virus hence the need for me to wait till Coronavirus is over," another posited.

Will you wait till the fight against the novel coronavirus is won before you marry or you will go ahead and do it with less than 25 people guests?
