Accra, June 23, GNA- A couple with two children were on Wednesday advised to settle their marital case out of court. The court therefore adjourned the case to July 20, this year, to enable them reconcile.
This was after James Kwashie Sewordor, a carpenter appeared before the court charged with assaulting his wife, Grace Kwartemaa. His plea was not taken and the court advised him and his wife to go and settle the matter.
Miss Kwartemaa told the court that she loved her husband except that he had driven her and her two children out to sleep on a veranda.
"I love James but I think he does not love me anymore, me and my two children are now sleeping on a veranda", she said.
Sewordor blamed it all on her wife saying, "I love her but she does not understand me."
Police Chief Inspector E.T. Boison told the court that Grace, and James were married with two children aged two years and three months respectively.
On June 4, this year about 2300 hours, James, brought in his former girl friend and ordered Grace and her children out of the house to enable him spend the night with his girlfriend.
When Grace refused, James took offence and assaulted her. He dragged her and drove her out.
The following morning, Grace reported the case to the police and a medical form was issued to her.
As the couple left the court room James carried the three month-old baby girl while Grace trailed behind him with the two-year girl.
