Accra, July 28, GNA - The Osu District Court in Accra has placed an injunction restraining the holding of any public durbars to round off activities marking this year's Kpledzoo Festival by the chiefs and people of Nungua in Accra scheduled for Saturday, July 29. This followed a writ filed by the Nungua Police praying the court to restrain two chiefs, Nii Odehe KpakpaOdaifio Wellentsi III and the Nii Odai Ayiku IV.

A statement issued by the Police in Accra on Friday said the Court ordered the two chiefs, their elders, relatives, supporters, privies and assigns to be restrained from holding any public durbars or public events in the celebration of the festival or any other outdoor events during the period.

"The Accra Regional Police Command taking cognizance of the order wishes to advise the chiefs and people and all interested parties of Nungua to respect and go strictly by the court's order for peace to prevail in the area," it said.
