A medical doctor, Esther Agbozo, has admonished both men and women to be wary of the sex positions they employ during sexual intercourse, as some could be detrimental to either of them.

According to her, one of the dangerous sex positions is the 'cowgirl', where the woman sits on top of the man and rides him.

She added that when the penis misses the hole and ends up hitting the pelvic bone, it can break, resulting in a penile fracture.

Dr. Agbozo, who was speaking with Kafui Dey on GTV's Breatfast Show, disclosed that her warnings are not from the knowledge she acquired as an expert but from a patient who had such a problem, which they managed to fix.

“When you are practicing any sex position, you should ensure it is not causing harm to you, both male and female. I'm saying this because I've had a patient come in with a penile fracture where the penis actually broke. The penis can break, even when erect, because it has muscles. So, those muscles can sort of rupture in one place. We had to repair it surgically, straight away. The erection goes away, and then the person comes in with so much pain, We were able to fix it, and he testified that it works.

"This man, for instance, I'm talking about, when we inquired from him, the position they were practicing led to the penile fracture. What we would call the cowgirl position – woman on top, facing him. The woman is moving that way, and then maybe you miss the hole. And then the penis ends up hitting the pelvic bone. And now there's pressure applied. Then it can cause the penis to break,” she said while speaking on GTV.
