Georges Kouakou, original keyboardist of Culture?s band has stated Joseph Hill died sitting in a bus with musicians.
He said the musicians were not aware the man died moments after he drank water and sat quietly in the bus until the ambulance they had called earlier arrived. Georges said this in an exclusive interview with SHOWGHANA.COM on his return home to be part of Ghana?s 50th anniversary celebrations and also to work on a production with Rev. Prophet Bernard Blessing.
Asked about the cause of the Reggae Legend?s death, he explained that in 2003 they were on a month tour of the United States of America and Joseph was hospitalised in Boston after the two weeks. The tour was then cancelled and the doctor told him about his kidney problem.
Georges hinted the Culture band now being led by Joseph Hill?s son, Kenyatta, will be in Ghana in May if arrangements with a Ghanaian promoter are complete.

Georges has played with the likes of Burning Spear, Wailers band, Yellowman and has just finished producing Shasha Marley?s new album, his first Ghanaian production. He?s played with the popular African star, Mano Debango and has just concluded Sonny Okuson?s gospel production.
Born in Tarkwa here in Ghana, Georges has been a shining light of Ghana outside Ghana and when he was asked whether he intends settling home finally with a studio to bring up new talents he answered in the affirmative but was unable to tell when. ?I will love to be part of the Ghanaian music scene. I have done a lot in Cote d? Voire producing about twenty artists so I think it?s about time I come back home,? he admitted.
