For the first time in the history of the Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant, the reigning Queen might not personally hand over the crown. Information pieced together by Peace FM News indicates that Miss Inna Mariam Patty has not been officially invited to the event scheduled to take place tomorrow Saturday, July 9th 2005.

Miss Inna Mariam Patty, whose reign has been allegedly truncated albeit illegally (since she has only been Queen for only eight (8) months instead of the normal one (1) year, refused to comment about the issue since she has contractual obligations with the organizers, Sparrow Productions, not to grant media interviews without their permission.

What still remains a mystery, however, is the reason for the lack of official invite thrown in the way of Miss Ghana 2004. Meanwhile, when Peace FM News got in touch with Miss Shirley Frimpong-Manso, the Chief Executive of Sparrow Productions, she categorically denied that Miss Inna Mariam Patty has not been officially invited. She however refused to comment on the issue on air.

But Peace FM is reliably informed that should the current Miss Ghana, Miss Inna Mariam Patty turned up at the show to personally hand over the crown, then it could be that she bought her own ticket or based on this News item the organizers have decided to officially invite her.
