D Black was on eTV‘s The Late Nite Celebrity to promote his yet to be released album Light Work which premieres on July 19th.
Answering Eddy Blay’s question on how he handles artists who dissed him the Kotomoshie hitmaker explained;
“Yaa Pono, Wanlov and Mensa are the artists that dissed me. I don’t respond to these people because I don’t see how that will benefit me. I’m trying to do a lot for myself and my family, my team and I don’t see the point. For whatever reason it may be, I don’t try to understand why they choose to jab me unless you are giving me constructive criticism.
“I’m young and these other guys are all older than I am. Wanlov was signed to my older brother when I was like 12 years old. I see him like my big brother, so if my big brother goes on a record or social media to diss me, out of respect I can’t diss him back. With Mensa, I was looking up to him coming up because I used to rap to his songs when I was in school.
“Why are you coming at me. I will wish they will use that time to better their art than diss me or others who are trying to make their way to the top.”
D Black is gearing up to release his next studio album Light Work on July 19.
