DJ Mensah clarifies his comments suggesting Sarkodie will perform at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics in Paris

DJ Mensah, the official disc jockey for Ghanaian rap icon Sarkodie, has quickly clarified his comments suggesting that Sarkodie is set to perform at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

This clarification comes from DJ Mensah's initial statements during an interview on Asaase Radio, where he outlined some of Sarkodie's upcoming engagements.

During the interview, DJ Mensah mentioned, "With me and Sarkodie, we have a few shows. We haven't announced it yet, but we are playing at an Olympics-related event somewhere in August, and there is also an event that we have to attend in the US.

"And I have another show, Ghana Fest in Canada, which is just like Ghana Party in the Park."

This statement led many to believe that Sarkodie was scheduled to perform at the official opening ceremony of the Olympics.

However, DJ Mensah later took to social media platform X to provide further clarification, noting that there had been a misunderstanding. He posted, "Let me clarify this before I'm misinterpreted: There 'MIGHT' be an event in Paris around the same time the Olympics is happening, but it's NOT during the opening ceremony. This is to provide more clarification on what is circulating."

The official opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics is scheduled for July 26, 2024, and the closing ceremony for August 11, 2024.
