Gradually, DJ Yoga, otherwise known as Bernard Boateng is warming his way into the hearts of many young radio lovers in the capital city.
His entertainment packed show, X'morning Drive on Xfm95.1 which is similar to none on morning radio in Accra is astonishingly fused with segments that explores health, social issues and intelligent information sharing.
He is a typical music lover with special bias for hiphop music and it is evident with the songs he plays on the show every morning. Very analytically minded, he feeds on good music and the excitement in his voice while complementing a good song is an art perfectly mastered by him.
Young and energetic, DJ Yoga often puts young and virtually unknown artists on the spot to freestyle on a beat of his choice. The twists and turns that accompany such segments either inspire these artists or discourages them; Yoga opens the phone lines and allows his listeners, many a young to either take the artiste to the cleaners or shower praise on him or her based on the performance.
His style of interviewing is unique but gives him off as being a Ghana Institute of Journalism trained journalist as he turns to probe issues especially when it concerns politics and national development.
DJ Yoga started his radio career as a silent Dj on Yfm before heading to then Choice FM where he became famous for his afternoon drive-time show which had a huge youthful following.
