One of Ghana’s funniest DJ/Promoter and Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O) of Blayleak.com, ‘DJ Blay’ has suggested to the organizers of BASS Award, to introduce a category meant to award Dance-hall and Reggae DJs.

The BASS Awards which is organized to award hard working Dance-hall and Reggae artiste in the music industry will take off August 30th this year.

According to the DJ/CEO, the introduction of the DJ category in the BASS AWARDS will motivate Deejay's who had promoted the music genre because they first raised the Dance-hall music and the Reggae in the country.

“I " Deejay-Blay De General" personally think Bass Awards organizers should have added a category for Reggae / Dancehall DJ and promoters. Because without we the DJs and promoters, no one will hear of this genre. And they shouldn't forget we the DJs and promoters have 96.9% right to kill Ghana Reggae / Dancehall genre. BASS Awards organizers, please review your categories next time otherwise......” DJ Blay posted on social media.

Meanwhile one of the outspoken showbiz activists Mr Logic in his interview with Agoo showbiz Corner on Agoo fm attested to the fact that, DJs can kill the dancehall and reggae genre because they have the right to play or reject it.

The question is do you support the suggestion? Let’s get talking on this issue.
