The current finest Ghanaian comedian, Derrick Kobina Bonney, well-known as DKB on Saturday, September 6, 2014 endorsed Rainbow Radio's Baba Spirit for an excellent performance at the launch of the Fashion Icon Awards.
In an interview with Flex newspaper about how he saw comedian Baba Spirit's performance, he said it was phenomenal. “I was just in the audience enjoying his performance one after the other. I felt quite nervous for him because it looked to me like the platform was a new ground for him and I was hoping they will accept the accent which did and he killed it,” DKB noted.
He said one line from Baba Spirit that caught his fancy was; “if Asamoah Gyan waste chances of scoring and he is being paid why can't he also play football.”
“I think he has a very great future in comedy, and I can't wait to support him in any way I can. I am a big fan of him on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM's drive time called 'Away Bus' with Okyeame Quophi,” he disclosed.
With such a sparkling performance, one need not to be a soothsayer or a prophet to tell how bright Baba Spirits future will be. He is a talent Ghana should watch out for.
