King of Ghana’s comedy DKB and some designated Ghanaian celebrities have been invited to witness the launch of Huawei Mate 20 in Dubai.
According to DKB, his activeness on social media and his brand attributed to the reason he was chosen to be a part of the launch.
Affectionately known in private as Derrick Kobina Bonney, DKB was accompanied by the Chief executive officer of the EIB networks, Bola Ray, Ameyaw Debrah, Teacher Kwodjo, Caroline Sampson (YFM) and Zion Felix.
DKB said they left the coasts of Ghana on Tuesday ahead of the event which was slated to take place at the Burj Khalifa Show at 07:05 PM Dubai time.
He noted that "Because I am a great influencer, my social media followership is massive, I am the most active Gh comedian on social media. As a Huawei Influencer, they launched the Huawei Mate 20 pro in Dubai for the Middle East and Africa and they needed representatives which is why I am here."
DKB who described that trip as a “great chance” said he is using the opportunity to bridge Ghanaian comedy to those living in Dubai. "As I am here, I am making contact and opening networks for the possibility of Ghana Comedy to get to Dubai, So don't be surprised if you hear a host of Ghanaian comedians coming to Dubai in few months for a comedy show”.
“The King” as he is referred to mostly, was recently crowned the “savior” of Gh comedy at the Glo Laftafest which took place at the Fantacy Dome, Trade fair in Accra.
DKB also has a show dubbed, Comedy Express which airs the 1st Friday of every month.
The all-new Huawei Mate 20 series family is an upgrade of last year’s Mate 10 series. The Mate Series phones are a total of four phones in this year’s lineup, but the two you’ll care about the most are the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
