High Life Legend Daddy Lumba is celebrating his birthday; he turns 51 years today, 29 September 1964.

He was born as Charles Kwadwo Fosu in Nsuta, near Mampong, in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.

Daddy Lumba and Gospel Musician Isaiah Ampong are set to release a new gospel song today.

They are expected to release their first single "Hosanna" and is likely to be a force to reckon with once they drop the song.

The collaboration and decision to form a group Kwadwo Kwadwo have been confirmed by both artistes last week.

Celebrated Highlife legend Daddy Lumba has already heaped praises on gospel musician Isaiah Kwadwo Ampong describing him as a humble musician in Ghana.

When asked why he chose to do a collaboration with Great Ampong, Lumba said he is exceptionally proud of Great Ampong with the kind content he uses to compose music.

Lumba is gearing up to launch the album along with his birthday bash on 0ctober 3rd at the National Theatre.

Daddy Lumba is not new in gospel scene though he is one of the legends in the secular music.

He debuted on the highlife scene with his massive hit "Yeeye Aka Akwantuo Mu" with Nana Acheampong (known together as the "Lumba Brothers").

This song depicted the number of Ghanaian immigrants that originally leave the country to seek better fortunes abroad but make those temporary homes permanent due to financial, emotional, or other unforeseen hardships.

"Yereye Aka Akwantuo Mu" was with his colleague Nana Acheampong under the name Lumba Brothers spawned several hits and established Daddy Lumba as a versatile and highly gifted musician. Lumba’s wife, Akosua Serwa, produced the album.

In 2014, He released his "Awoso" album that included the hit "Nea Woho Beto Wo" that won him worldwide praise. The song which fans have given it a new title of "Yentie Bia" has become an instant hit and won Daddy Lumba Highlife Artist of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year at the 2015 Vodafone Music Awards.

He recently released a gospel single with his longtime partner Nana Acheampong from the original Lumba Brothers titled "Afihyie Boa".

Lumba has promised to bring new and better songs to his fans than they have ever heard from him in the near future.
