Come Saturday 1st October, Ghanaians would be treated to another rib cracking comedy show at the National Theatre with the stage play dubbed 'Trotro'

Trotro is a metaphor and a hilarious stage play, offering different views on a typical Ghanaian public transport system

The happenings in a Trotro as passengers, driver and aplankey go through the hustle of getting to their places of work or elsewhere every day best sums up the story.

Synopsis

Ataa Ago a semi literate Trotro driver with a witty and cunning boy for his aplankey (bus conductor), a nagging wife, a demanding concubine and a car owner who does not know or care about what happens to his car.

This Trotro driver one morning had outspoken passengers on board which made the journey interesting. There is also Abiiba, an orange seller with the tale of “I’d be on my way to Nakpanduri, via Bunkpurugu Yunyoo” to deceive every guy she goes to bed with.

This story is a reflection of the life of the average Ghanaian, especially the struggle with transportation. It also mirrors not only the challenges, but the lively drama’s on Trotro’s and helps us to laugh at ourselves as a people, to either make serious resolutions or simply to look at the lighter side of life. What is the punishment for the road traffic offenders when they are caught by the police?

Cast

Starring in this play is Clemento Suarez aka sarkodie who has played various roles in varying productions including Galary of comedies,Flagstaff house, what can come can come and the now tv series master and 3 maids on vaisat one just to mention a few. in this play he is playing Ataa Ago a trotro driver and if this dude is playing that role you could just imagine the trouble he is bringing,he is a bag full of laughter.

On the subject of laughter there is Lekzy the comic, the talented comedian who took over the comedy industry with his performance on 1022 laughs. He is a passenger in the play that will crack your ribs with laughter.

Other sesational characters include solomon Fixon-Owoo jnr, Fred Amugi jnr,Ben Shaka,Robert komla mensa Ahlijah, Mawuli Jasparo and many more.
