Prophet Seth Frimpong popularly known as the ?Dancing Prophet? who was a guest artiste at the Kingdom Praise 2004 gospel show held at the National Theatre in Accra, last Saturday displaying the prophesying side of him when he declared that the relative peace in Ghana would remain intact before, during and after the December Presidential and Parliamentary polls.
He challenged God to grant the nation peace ?or else we will not be at gospel shows like Kingdom Praise, lifting up your Holy name?. This drew thunderous applause from the ?spiritually charged? audience some of whom were praying and speaking in tongues as if to give some spiritual backing to the prophet?s declaration.
Before pouring out his divine words, the ?Dancing Prophets? had shaken the hall with his hit song ?Me Huri So? and his ?Koo Gon? dance steps. ?Onyame Ba? (God?s Daughter), Christina Love and Lady Prempeh also took turns to thrill the thick crowd that thronged the National Theatre in Accra to witness the show. When Lady Prempeh?s song ?Onyame Ka Na Waka? (God?s Words Are Final) filled the hall, the people simply could not sit down.
Who said the music career of the Tagoe Sisters was ?dead?? Anyway their sizzling performance at the event did not show any sign of death ? not even coma ? they were as lively as when Rev. Yawson joined them on stage, the heavens came down.
Amy Newman, Ama Boahemaa, and Kwaku Gyasi gave meaning to the popular saying among Ghanaian Christians: ?Nyame Ye De? (God Is Sweet), when they came on stage to do what they know best ? sing praise songs. And the people loved it.
The show was held to officially launch the latest works of Pastor Josh Laryea and Rev. Baah-Barimah who have just signed to Lisarf Music Label. Josh loves ?jama? (hot music that flows on the wings of loud claps) and when he was invited on stage to present his new work, it turned out to be a very enthralling ?jama? song entitled ?Ngboo? (I Shall Not Die).
The audience swung into mellow worship mood when Rev Baah-Barimah introduced his latest song, ?Anwanwa Dwuma? (Wonderful Works) and indeed the song was quite wonderful. The two albums were formally launched by Mr Ebenezer Ampaabeng, the celebrated newscaster of Ghana Television (GTV).
