Burgeoning gospel music minister, Danny Addo, has officially released his highly anticipated debut album titled The Refreshing, marking a significant milestone in a ministry that has spanned more than a decade.
The 9-track project arrives shortly after the successful hosting of his live worship concert, “Undignified 1.0,” a powerful night of worship and album unveiling that brought together believers and worshippers for an atmosphere of intense praise and divine encounter.
Danny Addo, widely recognised for his popular worship song “Okum Yen Daa (The Psalm 91 Song),” continues to establish himself as a passionate vessel for worship and spiritual revival through music.
Beyond his personal music ministry, he also serves as the Music Director for The Mega Church’s Phanerosis Choir, where he plays a key role in shaping the church’s worship experience.
Speaking about the new album, Danny Addo emphasised that the project is rooted in his lifelong calling to lead people into deeper encounters with God.
“My mission has always been to lead people into divine encounters through music. The Refreshing is a sound birthed from prayer, worship, and a deep desire to see lives transformed through the presence of God,” he shared.
The album features nine spiritually uplifting songs carefully crafted to inspire faith, hope, and intimate moments of worship. The track list includes:
Do It Again
Adom Nyame
Reason
Hwe Nea Awurade Aye (feat. Kwadwo Awortey)
Okum Yen Daa (The Psalm 91 Song)
Anigye Praise Medley
Time of Refreshing (feat. Ps. Sammy Obeng-Poku)
Well Done
The Benediction
Each song reflects Danny Addo’s heart for worship, blending contemporary gospel sounds with local highlife elements and deep scriptural inspiration.
The Undignified 1.0 Concert, inspired by 2 Samuel 6:22, served as both a worship gathering and the official album launch. The event featured notable gospel ministers, including Quame Gyedu, Sandy Asare, and Joshua Ahenkorah, who joined Danny Addo in leading worshippers into an atmosphere of authentic praise and adoration.
