This years edition of the flagship event of the Daughters of Glorious Jesus is set to be the Biggest so far according to organizers.

Launched in 2006, the Daughters Back2Back Concert has attracted several thousands of people from all walks of life to a yearly life changing gathering.

The event has seen massive improvements over the years and promises to even go a notch higher this year to have it’s best edition yet.

According to organizing member of the event, Mr Andy Favored, at a press launch today, this years event will be the biggest not only in terms of patronage but in reach. “We are taking the concert to other regions to engage our beloved fans in Kumasi and Takoradi aside Accra… and also offer great value to sponsors” he said.

“It will be an event unlike any other, we intend to invest in excellent production and an event execution which will go a long way to promote Ghanaian gospel music and musicians to the world… to enable the outside world place great value on our local gospel music industry…”

he added.

Dubbed the ‘Golden Triangle Tour’, this years event is slated to start in the oil city on 11th of March at the Assemblies of God Anaji – Takoradi; then to Accra on 15th April and then a crowning in Kumasi on 29th of April.

The highlights of the event will be the remake of some of the favorite tunes from Daughters Of Glorious Jesus with more recent Gospel artistes and the joy of seeing some of the biggest names in Ghana and Nigeria gospel music all on one stage performing songs by DOGJ back to back.

The event is expected to host some of Ghana’s biggest gospel icons including VGMA Artiste of the year, Joe Mettle, Rev. Dr Mary Ghansah, Ceccy Twum and Yaw Sarpong.

As part of preparations towards their 30 years anniversary next year, the DOGJ is soon releasing a single titled “Nhyira” and the opportunity was used today to present it firstly to the media at the press launch.
