Daughters of Glorious Jesus unveils activities for 30th anniversary

It’s been 30 years of soul-inspiring music and Daughters of Glorious Jesus hopes to commemorate their anniversary with a number of activities this year.

At a press launch held at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra on Wednesday, the trio announced there will be a Gala dinner to launch the Daughters 3 Foundation - a non-government organisation that seeks to extend a hand to the less privileged in society.

A Europe tour is also slated in May and June which will be followed by a US tour in June and July as well as regional tours in November and December.

The group which has 12 albums to its credit further mentioned that a tribute concert would be held later on and it aims at giving musicians who take inspiration from them the platform to perform their songs.

Aside the aforementioned, the group, would embark on a sanitation campaign to drum home the need for all to keep the environment clean as cleanliness is next to godliness.

Not only that. There shall also be a symposium after which the anniversary will be climaxed with a concert dubbed ‘Glorious 30 concert’ in Accra and Kumasi in December.

Meanwhile, a social media challenge is expected to be activated soon. Lovers of Daughters of Glorious Jesus who wish to participate would be required to record videos of themselves singing their favorite Daughters of Glorious Jesus tune and hashtag #glorious30 across all their social media platforms.

According to Andy Favoured, manager of the group, winners of the challenge would have the opportunity to dine with the trio as well as tour and perform with them on some shows.
