Dear GhanaWeb,
My boyfriend continually shot down the idea of me starting a business whenever I spoke to him. He was satisfied with the GH₵600 allowance he gave me every month, but I wanted to be independent and also capable of providing when the need arose.
I do not want to sound like an ingrate, but the GH₵600 is a pittance that cannot satisfy my needs. I consistently approached him with the business idea, and he kept kicking it out.
I desperately wanted to do something for myself, so I stole GH₵7,000 from him to start a business.
Gracefully, my business is growing, and I have been able to raise the money I stole from him. He never asked where I got the money for the business but asked me for a loan.
I gave my boyfriend the loan, but I’ve been wanting to tell him about the money I stole from him. Any attempted day never felt like the right time.
How he reacts whenever he's angry scares me, but I know I must confess before he finds out.
How do I tackle this issue?
