Dear GhanaWeb,

No man should underestimate the power of a woman.

I love my wife dearly, and cheating was not something I had planned to do in my marriage. My wife has given me peace and blessing since we got married, so cheating was out of the picture.

I do not know how I became friends with this female colleague who, because of her, I might lose the beautiful family I have.

She joined our company not long ago, and I had a feeling that she was into me.

The way she looked at me and how she was always informal with me, I knew she wanted something more than friendship.

I have declined many invitations from her and made it clear to her that I am married. I thought that would make her back off, but her persistent invitations made me go out with her.

She invited me for dinner at her house. I did enjoy the food and the conversation we had until, when I requested to leave, she kissed me.

I didn’t know how to make her stop, so I eventually kissed her back, and one thing led to another.

I woke up filled with regrets and didn’t know how to go home to my family.

A few months later, I went to the hospital for lab results and I was told I had tested positive for HIV.

I haven’t been able to sleep with my wife since I cheated on her, and now this?

How do I confess to her?
