Dear GhanaWeb: I’m married to myself

Dear GhanaWeb,

The woman I married five years ago is not the same one I have been living with for a couple of months now.

I would have righted the wrong, but I do not recall committing an offence for my wife to attribute her recent actions to the offence I committed.

In February of this year, I returned home from a trip and saw my twins wailing. I first checked the kitchen to find out if their mother was busy, which is why she couldn’t attend to them at that time.

I went there, and she was not there. I searched every corner of the house, and she was nowhere to be found. I called her several times, but she never answered.

I picked up my babies and pampered them to sleep. I was in the hall when I heard my wife open the door. I questioned why she left the kids. She got angry instead and began to rant.

That was the beginning of my wife’s change of attitude.

She stopped performing her duties as a wife in May. She hardly stayed at home, which was affecting our children.

I had to take over her duties, and before I left for work, I had to bathe, prepare breakfast and lunch for my 3-year-old twins, and take them to school.

I leave early from work to avoid complaints from the teacher about picking them up late. I get home and have to prepare supper and put them to sleep.

My wife leaves the house and comes home whenever she feels like it. Her parents and our church pastor have spoken to her, but she has refused to heed any advice.

I’m losing my wife, and I do not know what to do.

I need help, please.
