Dear GhanaWeb,
I am not a sex enthusiast. I perceive sex as a very stressful job that I wouldn’t love to apply for if I had my way.
My relationships with my two exes ended because my sexual engagements were not consistent.
My last breakup occurred because I opposed having sex every day, preferring it twice a month, which led to our inability to reach an accord, resulting in the end of the relationship.
I sat down to analyze the fact that I couldn’t match up to the sexual desires of younger men, and to avoid future heartbreaks, I decided to refrain from dating younger men, opting instead to date men whose ages range between 45 and 55.
I'm 27 years old, and I believe that will work for me.
I have had good relationships with these men, and I was willing to start a family with the man I was seeing, so I introduced him to my family.
However, they objected because, according to them, the man is older than me.
They are refusing to accept the proposal until I bring home a "suitable" man. This is my choice, which I am entitled to make, so why is it being obstructed by my parents?
I didn’t want to sound disrespectful, but I gave them an ultimatum: either I marry him or I stay single for the rest of my life.
Is it a crime to be in a relationship with older men?
