Dear GhanaWeb,

About two years ago, my ex and I decided to rent a house together. At that time, we were still dating. I needed a new place because my rent was up, and he also had a few months to move out from where he was staying.

He travels a lot and has a lot of stuff, so we decided to combine our money and rent a two-bedroom apartment. This way, there would be enough room for his things, and I could take care of the house when he was away.

Shortly after we moved in, he travelled and was supposed to be gone for a few weeks, but he ended up staying for two months. When he returned, he was acting strangely. We used to have sex almost every day, but he was distant and kept complaining about being tired.

A few weeks later, he sat me down and told me he had something to say. He asked me not to leave him when he told me. He then revealed that he had mistakenly impregnated his ex-girlfriend. Her parents wanted him to either marry her or take care of her.

I was completely devastated. I couldn't eat all day and just cried silently until I fell asleep. Apparently, he meets up with the girl whenever he visits his hometown. They had started dating again. Their families are close, so when the pregnancy happened, everyone thought they should get married. However, his family knew about me, so it became complicated.

The girl's family decided to let her stay with him so he wouldn't abandon her. The following weeks were hell for me. I was bombarded with information I didn't want, lost weight, and couldn't stay in the house. I spent most of my days at work and only came home to sleep.

I tried to avoid him at all costs. I knew the relationship was over, but the question was, what next?

Where do I go from here?

I wanted to leave the house for them, but I didn't have enough money to find another place after spending so much on this one not long ago.

What am I supposed to do now?
