Dear GhanaWeb,

A National Service Scheme (NSS) girl joined our office recently. From the moment she arrived, I couldn't help but admire her.

She was everything I wanted in a partner—smart, beautiful, and captivating. I finally mustered the courage to approach her, and to my delight, we hit it off. Things were going so well that I began to believe she might be "the one."

Everything changed when my boss returned from leave. One day, while she was visiting me at my department, my boss noticed her. He took her to his office, locked the door, and had a private conversation with her.

I have no idea what transpired between them, but the next day, she ended things with me. Soon after, I noticed she was getting rides home with him, and she suddenly had a new phone and a MacBook.

I couldn’t help but feel jealous and betrayed. In a fit of anger, I deleted Skype from my boss’s laptop and phone, which caused him to miss three crucial meetings. When I heard the head reprimanding him, I felt a brief sense of satisfaction. But my bitterness didn’t stop there.

My boss started showering her with gifts and taking her out for lunch daily. It was painful to watch. One morning, I went to her office, hoping to talk to her, but she didn’t even notice me.

She was texting someone and seemed completely engrossed. I overheard her sending a voice note, saying, “I’m waiting for you and can’t wait to see you.” That’s when it hit me—she had moved on, and I didn’t matter to her anymore.

Hurt and angry, I let my emotions get the better of me. I filled my boss’s presentation folder with inappropriate videos and pictures embedded in a PowerPoint file. Unfortunately, while downloading the files onto his computer, I accidentally installed a virus. This caused part of our servers to shut down temporarily, though I managed to fix it.

The IT team eventually traced the issue back to my boss’s computer. Since he hasn’t been in the office for a while and I’m the only one with access to his office and PC, it’s likely they’ll suspect me.

Now, I’m panicking. Should I try to bribe the IT team to keep quiet, or should I confess and face the consequences of my actions?
