Dear GhanaWeb,

I have a sister who went to prison for five years for stabbing her ex boyfriend. Luckily enough, the guy didn’t die but it was not a good situation. He went through a lot of pain.

The guy cheated on her and she couldn’t control herself when she found out. It wasn’t like she went to catch them in the act, just normal SMS that she saw on the guy’s phone led to the confrontation and eventually, she pulled a knife on him and didn’t hesitate to use it.

Apparently, the guy was fast enough to take himself to the hospital else he wouldn’t have made it.

She returned from prison a year ago but she hasn’t changed. She still has anger issues and I’m disturbed on her behalf.

She’s dating a guy already. The guy doesn’t know her history, but she keeps arguing with the guy and anytime she is like that, she always rushes to get a knife which isn’t healthy.

Last week, she seriously cut the guy with the knife but he didn’t take it far. He went to stitch it and forgave her.

I am scared for this guy but my sister isn’t listening to me. In fact, anyone that tries to talk to her, she pulls a knife on the person. Not once or twice, it’s a habit.

Aside that, she keeps saying she is looking for the ex whom she stabbed and went to prison so she will kiII him completely and go back to prison.

We’ve been managing her, but I don’t see her lasting at home. I fear she may end up behind bars if she doesn’t control herself. She keeps saying she doesn’t care, that she’ll go back anytime.

She’s only 27. She graduated first class from Legon the year she went to prison. She didn’t even get the chance to do her national service. Since she came back, she’s not said anything about school or work. She’s just home, and always fighting everyone.

My aunty said this could be spiritual and maybe someone wants to ruin her life. She’s a very smart woman and everyone knows she succeeds in everything she does. According to my aunty, my sister has a bright future so some people want to ruin it. Could it be true?

How can we help her since she doesn’t listen to us? I get worried about her all the time and I sincerely want to help her. What should I do now?
