Dear GhanaWeb: 'She took my wedding ring and wants to ruin my marriage'

Dear GhanaWeb,

I was at a hotel with a lady I was talking to a few days ago. She took my ring after we got intimate and has been playing games with me ever since.

I had taken off my ring and kept it in my pocket because I didn’t want her to know I was married. I thought it was in my pocket the whole time.

After I dropped her off and was almost home, I reached out for the ring to put on and it wasn’t there.

I searched all over and even returned to the hotel but to no avail. I then called her asked if she found any item but she wouldn’t say. She insisted I say the specific item so I said 'a ring.'

Then she started asking questions so I eventually told her it was mine and that I was married. She then said she knew the whole time after she saw my ring finger and noticed it had been marked.

She was angry but then I asked her why she was mute if she knew all along, allowing me sleep with her before she come to say she is hurt.

She said she wanted to know to what extent I could go. Ironically, I didn’t even start the whole relationship; she was the one texting and streaking me all kinds of nudes on snapchat.

Again, on that day at the hotel, she started the whole process by forcefully giving me head right from the entrance.

Now, she is threatening that she will give the ring to my wife at her workplace and inform her that I was a cheat and that I slept with her.

Meanwhile, I told my wife I lost the ring at home and we spent all weekend searching for it together. She’ll be hurt twice as much should this secret reach her.

Honestly, I’m not guilty of anything except cheating on my wife. This lady led me on. I just gave in because I thought she liked me.

I don’t want to hurt my wife. She deserves better than this. How would I talk to this lady and probably convince her to return the ring to me instead of my wife? I need your guidance please.
