Dear GhanaWeb,

My wife was attacked with an illness, and we were informed by her doctors that she might not live to see 2025.

Luck found her in January 2024, when her uncle sponsored her treatment in the USA. Hope was lost because the doctors in Ghana said she would die by April 2024.

I objected to the treatment, but she insisted that she might have a second chance to live if she was being treated.

I agreed, and for three months, I hadn't heard from my wife. Whenever I asked about her welfare from her parents, they responded with vague answers.

As I was preparing to take our children to school one morning, I heard a knock on the door. I opened it, and it was my wife.

She appeared healthier than the lady I had seen off at the airport a few months ago.

She shared her treatment journey with me and broke the good news that she was now a free woman.

After engaging in a lengthy conversation, she laid down some conditions since she escaped death.

According to her, she will want to go to parties and sleep with other people, among other things but still wants to stay married to me.

She said she would want to live life to the fullest so even if I say no to her requests, she will go ahead to pursue her wish.

I'm struggling to come to terms with the new reality.

Should I exit the marriage or adjust to the new terms?
