Dear GhanaWeb: Why do men say they have a ‘spec’ but marry the direct opposite?

Dear GhanaWeb,

I dated four men who never stopped showering me with praise, saying that I had the qualities of their ideal woman.

They loved women with curves, and I happened to be one of them.

I have a perfect body - not too fat, not too slim, a cute waist that accentuates my beautiful Coca-Cola shape (mind you, I didn’t undergo any body enhancements), and a good attitude.

Unfortunately, these men never gave me a clear explanation as to why they ended the relationship, nor did they give me a chance to fight for their love.

So, I ask myself why a guy would break up with a girl he claims is his ideal woman.

It may surprise you that none of these men married their ideal woman; instead, they married slim women.

I am struggling to understand what is happening.

These breakups have led me to question my body and wonder if I should aim for a slimmer figure to attract a guy.
