Denise Williams of Rhythm & Melody (R&M),the group which won the first edition of the Vodafone Icons Divas Edition, has denied being booted from the group.

Rumours were rife early last week that she had been dumped from R&M which is yet to make any significant impact in the Ghanaian music industry.

The reports claimed Denise’s outspokenness could have accounted for her dismissal.

The other two group members Stephanie Lindsey Baaba and Natasha Dedey Mann were reported to have started secret location recordings with Denise’s replacement.

Denise however told The Globe that the reports were just rumours. She said “as far as I’m concerned, I’m still a part of the group. I have not heard anything from Vodafone so I guess it’s not true. ”

She said she had no altercations with organisers of the Vodafone Icons show to merit her sacking.

The group’s manager, Ruddy Kwakye is also reported to have been given the sack. Video director Nana Kofi Asihene is said to have replaced Ruddy.
