Dhat gyal and Chikel baby who both released their newest singles "welcome to Africa" by Dhat gyal and "Free Chop" by Chikel baby have thrown shots at each on social media and fans from these young celebrities have taken up the fight.
Dhat gyal wrote on her Facebook page that, after the premiere of her new single, she refused to talk about certain things, but could not bear the weight anymore.
She says she sees a lot of hate in the Ghana music industry as most upcoming female artistes try to hate or ride on her for fame and she does not think that will help the industry.
She referenced the late Ebony Reign's video in which she complained bitterly about the unity among female musicians in Ghana or the lack thereof.
She also claimed to be from grass and had been lifted by God. Therefore, she would say nothing to harm her unpredicted future.
On her part, Chikel responded to the post with confidence and as someone who is ready for anything. She said the Ghana Music industry is not for only talented artistes and success could also be drawn out of knowing and understanding the industry.
She emphasised the importance of knowing how to play along so that no grudges were borne. Riding on others' fame is all part of what makes the industry strong.
Yes and I think they both have a point looking critically at both posts.
Dhat gyal was trying to make things easy whiles Chikel believes the industry is for the strongest and this has got many fans from both camps talking.
