Ghanaian gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah, has faulted modern Gospel artistes for the quality of songs produced in recent times.

In her opinion, the songs that are currently being released are not impressive.

The singer, noted for popular tunes such as ‘Akoko Abon’, added that the worship songs are especially deficient in terms of quality.

She added that they do not lift the listener’s spirit.

Expressing her views on Celebrity Ride with Zionfelix, she stated that most of the new worshipers cannot be compared to old ones like Cecilia Marfo and Elder Mireku.

This, she explained, is because their songs are akin to “fast foods”. Diana Asamoah further stated that “if you look at today’s worship songs, it looks like they don’t know what they are doing”.

According to her, the new Gospel acts, together with piracy, are the reasons for the gradual collapse of the industry.
