Comedian and CEO of Switchline Entertainment, David Aglah says his performance in the next edition of pure comedy in Kumasi will be centered around politicking in Ghana.
“We comedians are now rooting for one of our own; Akua Donkor to win the elections and we will campaign vigorously for her”, the comedian told rawgist.com.
He believes that making light of political issues during such performances will ease the electioneering tension ahead of the December polls.
Mr. Aglah, who has successfully organized three Pure Comedy events in Kumasi believes comedy is slowly gaining grounds in Kumasi as a viable alternative to musical shows.
He tells rawgist.com’s Bernard Buachi the fourth edition of Pure Comedy is slated for 8th October, 2016 at Miklin Hotel in Kumasi. “There will be two shows; 6PM and 9PM and we will start on time and close on time”.
Next week’s comedy show features season Ghanaian Comedians including DKB, David Aglah, Foster Romanus, OB, Jacinta, Khemikal, Lekzy, Nino and Teekay.
The Comedy stars are expected to touch down in Kumais Saturday morning in time to rest ahead of the action later that night.
“Tickets can be obtained from Opoku Trading, Miklin Hotel, Kingdom Books and Stationery (KNUST Commercial area) and Luv FM”, he directed.
