The Head of Communications at Zylofon Media, Samuel Atuobi Baah, popularly known as Sammy Flex has expressed displeasure about how entertainment show hosts and producers allow panelists to chastise the firm without calling representatives of the organization for clarity.
Zylofon Media has been heavily criticized by some showbiz pundits regarding the organisation’s approach in signing artistes. Some have argued that the creative arts and entertainment conglomerate appears to have no vision as it continues to sign artistes despite any clear progress of previously signed acts.
Speaking at a press briefing, Sammy Flex mentioned that the posture is very unprofessional.
“I would want to plead with producers of radio and television programs... Sometimes, you would want to talk about Zylofon Media on your platforms but it is unfortunate you don’t call the people you want to talk about to make statements on what you are talking about. I have been a radio person and I’m still a radio person. Before I discuss something about an entity, I call somebody from the entity to explain what they are doing before I allow other people to talk about them. Unfortunately, that has changed. People just get up and talk about Zylofon without calling anyone from Zylofon. It smacks of some unprofessional antics and we believe it will be improved,” he noted. Zylofon Media has so far signed Kumi Guitar, Stonebwoy, Becca, Obibini and Joyce Blessing unto its record lable, Zylofon Music. It has also unveiled five actors - James Gardener, Benedicta Gafah, Bibi Bright, Toosweet Annan and Zynnell Zuh - as ambassadors for the company.
According to Sammy Flex, the profession of these actors will be handled by Zylofon Media.
“As people who have franchise for a particular award scheme, the best you can do is to contribute to that sector. We cannot run a movie awards when we don’t have anything doing with movies. It is our plan that we put out our own movies on the market,” he said.
