Pastor Faith Oyedepo, also known as Mama of Living Faith Church or Winners Chapel, has advised singles to avoid hurried and pressured marriages.
In a viral video shared on X, previously Twitter, the preacher emphasized that no one should feel rushed to marry or succumb to the pressure from families and society to get married.
She stated, "Don't marry under pressure. Don't settle for marriage, and don't rush into it. Take your time to get to know and understand your future spouse."
Discussing the consequences of marrying for the wrong reasons, the mother of four mentioned that those who marry hastily and under pressure often end up regretting their decision.
She warned, "Most individuals who marry out of pressure and haste ultimately regret their choice."
Pastor Faith Oyedepo, who is married to the president of the megachurch, Bishop David Oyedepo, headquartered in Ota, Ogun state, highlighted that finding a good partner for marriage does not guarantee a successful union.
Pastor Faith Oyedepo also warned family members and society in general against pressuring and persuading young people to marry against their wishes.
She pointed out that her interactions with people have shown that such situations often result in unhappy and broken marriages.
Internet users who responded to the video thanked her for her guidance and urged their families to follow the advice of the clergywoman.
