Tsoobi
With four singles to her credit so far, dancehall artiste, Tsoobi relishes the fame that hard work and determination has brought her.
The pretty, energetic artiste is worried about the desperation of some of her colleagues, particularly the upcoming ones, who want to become famous overnight by offering themselves to producers.
“They should take their time and stop chasing fame”, Tsoobi told The Spectator Agoro in Accra on Monday.
Born, Rhodalyn Nana Yaa Ohenwaa Naa Deidei Darko, she said it was not easy entering the music scene at a tender age.
“Some people wanted to have a fling with me before they push my music .They will say, let me sleep with you and make you a star”. “I did not want to follow the trend and the response was, you are not hungry for fame” she stated.
She holds the view that for those who trade sex for stardom, it was their choice and she respects that decision.
Tsoobi, who has been in the industry for three years now, believes she could be called the dancehall queen because her music was unique.
She admitted that she was still learning and working hard to achieve success.
The 20-year-old artiste maintained that she is not intimidated by her fellow dancehall artistes in the music industry; she believes in her craft and style.
Rhodalyn comes from a family of five children and is a product of St. Mary’s Girls Senior High School and Accra Polytechnic.
Songs she has to her credit include ‘Ring My Tin ft 2fyngerz’, ‘Ride On’, ‘Slow Down’ and ‘Holy Water’.
