Veteran broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi has advised celebrities to use their fame wisely for the benefit of society.
He pointed out that some individuals become too self-absorbed with their fame, expecting constant admiration and praise from others.
The host of the Kokrokoo Morning Show on Peace FM noted that some people misuse their fame by focusing on trivial and unnecessary activities.
Sefa Kayi encouraged influencers and well-known personalities to use their influence for positive contributions to society.
"Fame comes with challenges, but it's important to consider its purpose. Is it just for recognition, or will you use it for the betterment of humanity? Managing fame can be difficult. Some become complacent, getting used to being recognized in public.
"Despite this, some lose sight of their goals. Remember, you're only human; divine grace has lifted you up. Fame doesn't give you the right to control others. It's a responsibility to help wherever you can," he said on Peace FM.
These remarks were made as Sefa Kayi reflected on his life lessons in honour of his 54th birthday on June 20, 2024.
