3-time Grammy Award winning American Gospel singer Donnie McClurkin has arrived in Ghana ahead of his anticipated Saturday concert at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, dubbed “Ghana Stand up in Worship.”
The light-hearted singer at a press conference at the MTN head office in Accra said Ghanaians should expect nothing more than a night of joining in worship to praise and adore God almighty.
He said he is looking forward to experience how Ghanaians do worship and also show the beauty of Ghana and Africa to America through his syndicated TV show.
He said American media focuses on telling all the negative story of poverty and sickness within Africa and never shows the beauty, the pride and development on the continent. Thus he would be airing footage on his trip to Ghana on the TV show which reaches millions of homes.
Known for his touching and passionate worship songs Donnie will climax the show and bring down the angels from Heavens to join in worshiping the name of the Almighty.
He will share the stage with seasoned International worship leaders like Mthunzie Namba from South Africa, Uche Agu from Nigeria and hosts of other renowned gospel artistes in the MTN Ghana Stands in Worship Concert.
From Ghana will be host Rev. Bernard Blessing supported by No Tribe, Cecilia Marfo, Mary Ghansah, and Miriam of MTN Hit Makerfame on Saturday July 13, 2013 at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium at 6pm prompt.
