The head of Shining Grace Chapel International, Prophet Isaac Appiah, popularly known as Prophet Azuka, has said that the public discord between Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II has positively influenced the Asante people.
He asserted that the public criticisms from Dormaahene towards Otumfuo have prompted the Asantehene to approach his responsibilities with increased earnestness, benefiting the populace.
Prophet Azuka observed that Otumfuo initiated the removal of subchiefs who failed to act appropriately, demonstrating the kingdom's authority and preeminence.
In a video posted by Express GH TV on their YouTube channel, the prophet stated that the Ashanti Kingdom has shown more dynamism than in previous years.
"Ever since his [Otumfuo's] ascension to the throne, he has faced no opposition. The challenges posed by Dormaahene have spurred our king to greater seriousness. He's the reason our king started to depose rebellious subchiefs and address illegal land claims.
"Currently, if there's a dispute over my land, I would seek resolution at the palace. Dormaahene has rendered the Ashanti rule more gratifying... Our royal heritage bestows prestige upon us in Ghana, and this challenge has bestowed further splendour upon the kingdom," he declared.
Earlier, Dormaahene had levelled accusations against Asantehene for exacerbating the Sampa chieftaincy dispute through his involvement.
He charged that Asantehene's conduct was a direct challenge to both the legal system and the Bono chiefs, who traditionally managed such affairs.
In a decisive gesture, he presented these allegations to Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia and his entourage during their attendance at the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, categorically stating that Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was the instigator of the persistent Sampa conflict.
