Dr Cann caught between Happy Fm and Hitz Fm

Reports reaching NEWS-ONE indicate that Happy Fm’s Showbiz Xtra host, Dr Cann, has been offered a mouth-watering deal at Global Media Alliance to persuade him from leaving Happy Fm for Hitz Fm.

Meanwhile, Cann has already told his teeming fans across the country, and even granted a couple of interviews, about his planned exit from Happy Fm.

When Cann wrote on his facebook wall that he was leaving Happy Fm for Hitz Fm, his employees got wind of it and were alleged to have called him to further negotiate his terms of employment and persuaded him to stay.

“They offered to almost triple his salary, give him a brand new car if he does not quit Happy Fm. But he is in a fix because Hitz Fm has also given him a very nice package, though his monthly salary at Hitz Fm would not be up to the new one his Happy Fm bosses are offering him. Cann is just in a fix and does not know what to do”, a source at the said negotiation meeting told NEWS-ONE.

As it stands, Dr Cann seems to be stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea, with regard to whether to move to Hitz Fm or stay at Happy Fm.

Dr Cann, known in real life as Francis Cann, is a household name when it comes to radio broadcast in Ghana. He has gained immense experience working with several radio stations like Sunrise Fm in Koforidua, GBC Radio in Accra and Radio Winbay in Cape Coast, among others.

He has a cult-like following with regard to his entertainment show on Happy Fm.

“With the training I had from the four different radio stations, there is no radio station I cannot work at. I can DJ, do good interviews and handle any programme that comes my way,” he said in an earlier report.
