The emergence of private radio stations in the country has unearthed many talents in radio presenting. One of such talents is Isaac Duncan Williams aka DR. Duncan Williams aka Dr Duncan of Dom 106.3, a Tem a based radio station.
His four successful years with Adom FM has earned him the honour to present three programmes namely Work and Happiness, Sunday Afternoon Special, and Kasahari.
Work and Happiness is aired on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 3pm. His presentation on this programme is unique as he combines Fante and English to reach a wider listener ship.
It is interesting listening to this to this programme as it is full of useful information ranging from health to social issues combined with humour to gear the workers to work with songs from hiplife and highlife.
Sunday Afternoon Special airs at 10 noon and ends at 3pm every Sunday. The first two hours of this programme is devoted to non-stop gospel tunes and the other hour for hiplife.
Musicians are not left out as they are given the opportunity to give an insight to listeners about their work, themselves and to share their experiences.
He is considered as one of the finest radio presenters with his sense of humour, selection of music and inspirational speeches.
Kasahari, is what the youth have come to really love as it gives amateur rappers the platform to exhibit their talents on air. He made mention of some hiplife artistes who have passed through the Kasahari programme such as Pope Skinny, Young Sam and others.

Currently, he is compiling a documentary on Kasahari (rap), which he said would be dedicated to all up and coming musicians interested in hiplife. He also has plans of coming out with a new clothe line, Kasahari Wear, in future to identify with hiplife artiste.
When asked how he got into radio, he said, ?I got interested in the operations and activities of the operations and activities of Adom Fm during their test transmission, and I applied to be employed as a presenter?.
?Fortunately for me when I submitted my application, the then Programmes Manager asked me to do a jingle for the station and after listening to it, he was amazed and offered me the job,? he said.
He said even though he was lucky, he has worked hard to gain a lot of experience to handle his programmes since everything to him, is a learning process.
He urged his fellow presenters to give of their best, amidst the challenges and pressure radio brings ?since radio is stronger and bigger than them?, he said.
Dr Duncan is second in a family of four and was born to Mr George Duncan-Williams, a sailor and Mrs Agnes Duncan Williams, a trader both from Elmina in the Central Region.
He had his early education at New Preparatory School and Mexico Educational Scholl Centre in Tema respectively. He later went to Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) where he studied General Arts and later enrolled at the Institute of Information Technology at Tema for his ?A + Certificate?.
He worked with Swing Sounds a Tema spinning group where he learnt much about the console
The radio doctor said ?I am a Dr. of radio where I play good songs for the healing and listening of many souls since music is the food of the soul?.
He is not married but is deeply attached to a lady, which he hopes will lead to the altar in the near future.
Dr Duncan in his leisure time plays snooker or relaxes at any good spot with friends in Tema, listening to good music. He enjoys rice with any sauce that gives good taste.
