Driver to pay one million cedis for careless driving

Accra, June 14, GNA - An Accra Circuit Court on Monday imposed a fine of one million cedis on a Driver of a truck for careless driving. He would go to jail for six months if he defaulted. Suleman Yussif, the Driver, pleaded guilty.

Accra, June 14, GNA - An Accra Circuit Court on Monday imposed a fine of one million cedis on a Driver of a truck for careless driving. He would go to jail for six months if he defaulted. Suleman Yussif, the Driver, pleaded guilty. Police Inspector Bernard Darfour narrating the incident told the Court that the accused while in charge of a Bedford Truck loaded with 400 cement blocks drove at a top speed from Accra towards Kasoa and in the process ran into a moving vehicle ahead of it.
