Drunkards are better managers of the economy – Bridget Otoo tells Atta Akyea

Media personality Bridget Otoo has slammed Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta Akyea, for allegedly describing the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, as a drunkard.

Atta Akyea, while campaigning for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia in his constituency, took a swipe at former president John Mahama by saying that the current flagbearer of the NPP does not drink alcohol.

He said, “Ghana is fortunate to have an economist who is composed, knowledgeable, and abstains from alcohol. We are truly blessed. Ghana is on the verge of having a president with wisdom, a leader who is astute and refrains from drinking alcohol.”

Reacting to the comments of Atta Akyea, Bridget Otoo took to her X page to slam the MP.

According to Bridget, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is not a drunkard, messed up the economy as compared to John Dramani Mahama, whom Atta Akyea described as a drunkard.

In her words, “You mean to tell me @MBawumia put us in this hardship while sober? Then I’m sorry you need to advise him to start drinking, or better yet, people who drink alcohol are better managers of the economy.”
