Weeks after the observation of the ‘one week’ of the late Ghana Actors Guild President, Rev. Eddie Azumah Coffie, the family members had the opportunity to meet with a section of movie makers together with the Deputy Minister of Creative Arts, Hon. Dzifa Gomashie.

At the meeting, which came off at the North Kaneshie, the brother of the late President, Rev. Theophilus Coffie, made it known to the Deputy Minister and the delegation that, the wake keeping will be held on 18th December while the final funeral rites will be on 19th December.

According to him, the actual venue of the funeral will be communicated to the public as soon as the family comes to a consensus with the Actors Guild and the Ministry.

“We already have our venue, but since the late Coffie belongs to a Guild and the Guild want to be involved, we will be meeting the Guild to finalize on the venue,” he said.

The Deputy Minister who led the delegation also made it known to the family of Eddie Coffie that, she worked with the Late Rev. Eddie Coffie in the late 80’s on a couple of NAFTI productions and that; he was always calm and had a very warm personality.

“As a professional, he was one of the naturally talented actors, who although was stereotyped, often brought a refreshing interpretation to all his roles,” she said.

She added that, it was a shock to hear of his demise.

“My condolences to his mother and family. My heart goes out to his wife. He has left a vacuum as the Leader of the Ghana Actors Guild and he will be sorely missed.”

She then presented some drinks and an undisclosed amount to the family as she assured them of her support.

In a separate chat with Razz Newspaper, Rev. Theophilus Coffie told Mustapha Inusah That , there have been conflicting reports in the media about his brother’s death, which sometimes doesn’t help , so in case any media house needs any information, they can call on him\
