The son of former Youth and Sports Minister E. T. Mensah is in trouble again, after his escapades at his former school, Mfantsipim Secondary School in Cape Coast. Eighteen-year-old Jerry Mensah who moved to Mawuli School at Ho in the Volta Region has been suspended indefinitely for four different acts of indiscipline. He was suspended for taking the daughter of a tutor of the school to a friend’s house and attempting to make love to her.

The suspension letter signed by the headmaster Winfred Bonsi says the boy is also alleged to have threatened to beat up a colleague as well as using derogatory language on tutors. Master Jerry Mensah is also said to have left campus on the night of May 13 without permission. When punished he forced another student to do the work for him.

The headmaster has meanwhile told the Ghana News Agency that a final decision on his possible dismissal will have to be decided by the Board of Governors. Jerry Mensah left Mfantsipim School after his claims that he was abducted from school was found to be false. Investigations however revealed that he left the school campus and booked a hotel room to enable him have fun with his girl lover who visited him.

For fear that he will be dismissed, he framed up the kidnap story. Jerry therefore left Mfantsipim School unceremoniously even when disciplinary action had not been taken against him. He later gained admission at Mawuli School.
