ETV to telecast MTV Music Awards live

ETV Ghana, will on Saturday July 18th create a live on-air Mama’s experience at 7pm.

The event which is to be held at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC), KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, will be preceded by celebrity guest discussions and appearances.

Viewers of e.TV Ghana stand the chance of interacting with their favourite celebrities winning prizes.

"Our numerous viewers can always rely on us to bring them quality programmes. As usual we want them to have an up-to-the minute, real feel of this year’s MTV Music Video Awards,” according to John Osei-Tutu Agyeman a.k.a JOT, General Manager of ETV Ghana.

JOT indicated that this live telecast is also important in order to give Ghanaians the opportunity to share the happiness with Ghanaian artists like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Samini and Fuse ODG who have all been nominated in some of this year’s categories.

E.TV Ghana’s sister station, YFM (Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi), will also broadcast the event through live crossovers.

Two of YFM’s presenters, Caroline and NYDJ will be in Durban for the event and bring viewers and listeners exclusive news and interviews.

MTV Africa Music Awards is a platform that rewards and recognises talented musicians, achievers and personalities who have made the most impact across the African continent.

Other nominees in this year’s event include: AKA, Davido, Diamond for Best Male Category; Anna Joyce, Cassper Nyovest, Patoranking for Best New Act Category and Fuse ODG, Jimmy Nevis and Nneka for Best Pop and Alternative Category.

The general public is encouraged to tune in to ETV Ghana on Saturday 18th of July at 7:00pm prompt to be a part of this amazing one-time experience with the MAMA’s.
